The City of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the company Cepsa signed a “historic” collaboration agreement
whereby the land currently occupied by the Refinery will be regenerated to create a large area of
public-private expansion based on environmental sustainability and the recovery of the access to the sea.
Thus, under the name of ‘Santa Cruz Verde 2030’, the program contemplates the development of a large area
of about 573,000 square meters -which measure 80 football fields- of which 67% will go to public use and
the remaining 33% will be of lucrative exploitation, while the buildability would be 1.1 m2 / m2.
Cepsa will continue developing its industrial project to continue guaranteeing the energy supply in the
archipelago, satisfying its commitment with its employees, its customers and its sole shareholder.
